My baby- HAIRriette

Hair noun
any of the numerous fine, usually cylindrical, keratinous filaments growing from the skin of humans and animals.

Being a teenager these "filaments" are SO IMPORTANT!!!!! to both guys and girls.

So today i decided to get my hair cut. MY HAIR = MY BABY. Basically its like handing your baby over to a a stranger... WHO HAS A PAIR OF SCISSORS! AND HAS THE ABILITY TO KILL YOUR BABYYY! The baby you've been, nurturing and looking after.

A single "SNIP" and all your Pain/ hard work/ money/ dedication CAN DISINTEGRATE!

The things that i do for my hair... i alter my lifestyle to account for my hair. The main thing is the side fringe. If you don't have one you would be surprised at the amount of effort required to make that fringe " sweep" to the side. it requires " hair physics".

Laurens Laws of Hair Physics:

1. There is variation within hair types, hence variation in filament behavior.
In Particular with fringes theres is no "one way" to cut it so that the hair will defs turn out the way you want, trial and error is a painful and embarrassing method,- but the only one.

2. The angle of incision determines the degree of the filament curve.
Im a strong believer in cutting your hair at an angle this causes it to " curve" effectively

3. Constant care/ treatment is required to maintain optimum stability.
Treatment and changes in " habits" are required to maintain your hair in he manner to you wish.

For my Side fringe i had to make many " sacrifices"
- For about an hour when my hair dried i had to leave my head in a a 45 degree tilt to the right in order to ensure my fringe went in the desired direction.
- When i slept i HAD to sleep on my right to make sure my fringe followed that direction,
- every morning it needs to be moistened and restyled.
- fringe must be washed AT LEAST once a day.
- Constantly needed to be trimmed in the correct way.

The things i did for my hair......

I had also been waiting about 18 months now for my hair to grow longer =) and every time i went in the shower i would measure my hair and see how much it had grown =D

I'm sure lots of people do even more than me when it comes to hair... but remember next time you see a girl with a pretty side fringe give her a pat on the back~ because there is a lot of pain put into making that fringe sweep like that ;)
